2:04 a.m. Officers responded to the 7600 block of Cedar Ave on the report of an assault, but could not find their suspect.

7/22

11:56 a.m. Officers responded to the Richfield Super Target on the report of a man trying to steal $1,500 worth of merchandise. Police arrested the suspect.

4:14 p.m. A resident of the 6500 block of Newton Ave S reported burglars broke into their home and stole a microwave.

5:09 p.m. Officers were dispatched to Golden Tobacco on a report of a theft of a wallet left in the store.

9:44 p.m. Officers responded to a reported burglary the 6700 block of 12th Ave S. Nothing appeared missing.

5:22 a.m. Three masked black males broke into a business at 6401 Lyndale Ave S through a window and removed three large TVs, totaling $1830, and damaged numerous other pieces of property. Several vehicles parked at that address were damaged and gone through. One victim reported a theft of a TomTom GPS unit and a Philips CD player from their car, valued at $525.

5:33 a.m. A motorist reported someone stole items from his car, parked on the 6300 block of Lyndale Ave S.

6:59 a.m. An officer took a report of a theft of electronic equipment from a car parked on the 7400 block of Lyndale Ave S

9:14 a.m. An unknown person broke the passenger side window of a vehicle parked on the 300 block of 77th St. W. No items were removed from the vehicle. Two hours later, the owner of another car parked at that location reported their car had been broken into and a GPS device valued at $200 was stolen. There are no witnesses or suspects.

9:20 a.m. Officer took a report at 7720 Penn Avenue South on a report of a vehicle that had been broken into and the theft of a purse containing credit cards and $20 cash inside.

12:13 p.m. Broke into a garage on the 7400 block of 18 Ave S. Suspect removed a snowblower ($60), 2 bikes ($50) and a chop saw ($100). Entry was made through an unlocked service door. There were no suspects or witnesses. 

4:00 p.m. Officer was dispatched to a car on the 6600 block of Pleasant Ave S on a report of a theft from a vehicle.. A backpack containing tools, wallet, check and cash was removed, total loss $200.

 

7/24

3:27 p.m. Police responded to the 6900 block of Humboldt Ave. S on the report of a child custody dispute.

3:48 p.m. On the above date and time, officers responded to the Richfield Super Target on a report of two adults shoplifting. Both parties were cited for shoplifting under $500 worth of items.

5:58 p.m. On the above date and time an adult woman attempted to steal $119.50 worth of merchandise from the Richfield Super Target. The suspect was cited for misdemeanor theft.
