Body Found in Lonsdale is Anarae Schunk
Anarae Schunk was last seen by her family on Sept. 21.
The body found Monday afternoon in a roadside ditch in Lonsdale has been identified as that of 20-year-old Anarae Schunk.
According to the Star Tribune, Rosemount police confirmed the news Tuesday afternoon.
Schunk was last seen Sept. 22 on video surveillance at a Burnsville bar with ex-boyfriend Anthony Nelson, who prosecutors charged Thursday with murder in the shooting death of Palagor Obang Jobi at the bar. Schunk was a University of Minnesota student and worked at Don Pablo's in Richfield.
Schunk's family was asked to provide dental records to authorities Monday night to determine the identity of the body. According to KARE 11, the discovery of her body will allow investigators to recover forensic evidence that will hopefully lead to the filing of murder charges against her killers.
