Our very own Outstanding Citizen Librarian!

Congratulations go to Librarian Phuoc Tran for her recent award as the “2013 Gene and Mary Jacobsen Outstanding Citizen of the Year”. This award recognizes citizens in the community whose attitudes and practices foster human understanding, tolerance and the spirit of human relations.

 Ms. Tran, who lives in Richfield with her family, is very involved in the Richfield Community, volunteering with the Police Multicultural Advisory Committee (PMAC) to foster trust and communication between Police and members of the community.

As an Augsburg Park Librarian, she worked with the Richfield Police Department to provide multicultural training at the Library. 

 She is also a member of Unity in the Community and planned and participated in the Augsburg Park Library Kite Festival, Heroes & Helpers (formerly Shop with a Cop), Richfield Police & Fire Teen Academy and the Richfield 4th of July celebration.
