Meet our newest Librarian at Augsburg Park Library!

In April of this year, Augsburg Park library got an additional adult services librarian. Kristina Darnell has been working for Hennepin County Library since 2006 – first as a Public Service Assistant at Minneapolis Central, and most recently as an Associate Librarian at Brooklyn Park. Originally from northern Missouri, Kristina came to Minnesota to attend the music program at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she sang opera and decided she liked Minnesota enough to stay! She currently sings weekly with her church choir and daily with her two daughters (a 3-year-old and an 11-month-old). Other interests include swimming with a swim fitness club at the Blaisdell YMCA, throwing make-your-sushi parties, and attending local food and drink tasting events with her husband, Chris. Kristina looks forward to getting to know the community of Richfield and would love to hear about local interest in programs and displays that Augsburg Park Library patrons would like to see in their library.
