Great-Grandmother, Holy Angels Grad Passes Away at 90
Irene M. Johnson was born in Richfield and later moved to Rochester, MN.
Richfield native and Academy of Holy Angels graduate Irene M. Johnson passed away at the age of 90 in Rochester, MN Sunday, Dec. 1.
According to her obituary on GlobeGazette.com, Johnson was born on June 10, 1923, in Richfield to Edward and Margaret (Ostertag) Yetzer, and graduated from Holy Angels in 1941. She later married Darrel L. Johnson on Nov. 19, 1946, and eventually moved to Rochester. She has nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, and the burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
