Apples, Buttercups, and Stories! Free Family Activities this Sat at the market

Fall is starting to arrive at the market! We have squash-Acorn, Buttercup and Mother Hubbard squash for sale. And as we move closer to Oct we'll have gourds and pumpkins coming in. Stay tuned for their arrival date. We also have a new Apple vendor at the market: Bayfield Fruit Company, owned by Ed Rabideaux, is selling the season’s finest apples. Last week was the first week we had Bayfield Fruit Co at the market, however they’ve sold at Richfield Saturday market for years. They’ll be selling crabapples as well as Zestar apples with other apple varieties to come as the fall season progresses.

-9-11am: Little Growers: Gardening Projects for Kids “Feeding Backyard Birds”, in which children can learn about birds commonly found in their city’s backyards, and make an orange cup bird feeder, which they can take home. Brought to you by Hennepin County Master Gardener Youth Ed Committee.

-10-11am: Read-A-Story Theatre: Families and Kids! Come be entertained and see your favorite story characters come to life by our local team of actors. Located in the Arts Building.
