Be part of VEAP's team to raise money for organizations working to end hunger in the Twin Cities.

If you want to start off your Thanksgiving with a little feel-good fun, then take part in the annual Walk to End Hunger on Thanksgiving Day at Mall of America by joining Team VEAP.

VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Help People) is a Bloomington-based organization that provides a variety of services to people in Richfield, Bloomington, Edina and South Minneapolis.

Here's what you need to know about the event:

When: 7-10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving Day).

Where: Mall of America, 60 E. Broadway in Bloomington.

Details: Since its inception in 2008, the Walk to End Hunger has raised more than $1.2 million for hunger relief organizations in the Twin Cities metro. The event is fun, and family-friendly, and features music, balloon animals and crafts for the kids. For the fitness enthusiast, there will be a second-floor 5K power walk route.
