Richfield Foundation Wine & Cheese Gathering

On Thursday, October 10 from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, Richfield Foundation volunteers will host the Autumn Wine & Cheese Gathering as a start to the Foundation's 25-year anniversary celebration. The event will be held at Woodlake Centre (the same building where Houlihan's and BMO Harris Bank are located).

Funds raised at this event will benefit the Richfield Foundation's mission of supporting outreaches focused on successful kids, secure families and a strong community. Tickets are $40 and may be purchased online by clicking here.

Seventeen wine vendors will be pouring over 100 wines for sampling, as well as cheeses provided by Eichten's Hidden Acres. Guests will enjoy the opportunity to learn about wine and cheese pairings. Raffle tickets for a chance to win a "Wall of Wine" with 50 bottles of premium and distinctive wines will be available at the event. 

The Evening Itinerary
The Autumn Wine & Cheese Gathering starts at 6:30 pm. Please bring tickets or receipt to the check-in table. You will be given a wrist ribbon, a wine glass and a list of wine being poured for the evening. Entertainment will be provided by the Wayne Hamilton Trio. Appetizers will be served throughout the evening. Coffee and water will be available at tables located in the pavilion. Eichten's Cheese will be at the event. 

At 8:45 pm, a drawing will determine the winner of the "Wall of Wine" prize. Tickets for this prize will be available at the event for $10 each or $25 for three tickets. Drawings for other prizes will be held throughout the evening. Guests are eligible for these prizes with their admission to the event. 

The event ends promptly at 9 pm. Guests who wish to linger to socialize more may enjoy the hospitality of Houlihan's, which will offer special dining options after the event.

Purchasing Wines:
Wines may be pre-ordered at the event by filling out the :Personal Contact Form" at the top front page of the wine listing. Wines will be offered at specially discounted event prices. To order, enter the quantity you wish and leave the form at the check in table. Simply pay for your wine when it is picked up at the Richfield Liquor Store at 6444 Lyndale Avenue South. You will be notified when it is time to pick up the order, which will be approximately one week after the event. Let a sales associate know you are picking up your order from the Autumn Cheese & Wine Gathering. Concierge service will be offered at pickup. Wines are not available for purchase and delivery on the night of the event. 

Purchasing Cheese:
Eichten's Cheese produces award-winning cheese made in Minnesota. They are a regular vendor at the Richfield Farmer's Market every Saturday, offering both aged and spreadable cheeses. Experts will be on hand to answer your questions regarding which cheeses and wines best pair with various foods. You may purchase cheese from Eichten's on the night of the event.
