Bryan Bowers Autoharp concert

The first stirrings within Bryan Bowers that hinted of the
musician he was to become occurred as he watched and listened to the call-and-answer work songs of the field workers and gandy dancers in his native state of Virginia.  As he was learning their songs, he came upon the Autoharp and his future was cast.

Bryan remains a major presence on the North American folk music scene some four decades later.  He is a Flying
Fish
and Seattle Sounds recording artist with eight albums to his credit as well as an Autoharp instructional DVD on Homespun Recordings.

A powerful singer and performer, the Chicago Sun-Times has said of Bryan Bowers “He plays the Autoharp and when he picks up the instrument, the entire room changes…a very magical world, a music never heard
before”.  Bryan’s own words reveal the pleasure he gets
out of performing – “I want to have a good time and I want my audience to have a good  time.   I get joy from bringing people together and communicating with them…If I can say it or sing it like I see it, I can bring happiness”.
