A Panel on Marriage: Love, Rage, and Infidelity featuring Randy Susan Meyers, Robin Black, and Ann Bauer

Join Randy Susan Meyers (Accidents of Marriage), Robin Black (Life Drawing) and local author Ann Bauer (The Forever Marriage) for a frank discussion of marriage, in life and on the page. Their novels explore the darker, often-hidden side of domestic issues: a good man driven by fury who accidentally injures his wife; a woman so guilty over her own past affair she isolates her husband and her marriage; a wife who wishes her husband dead only to grieve and search for him after he’s gone. These are mature characters in seemingly ordinary circumstances who respond in surprising and heroic ways. Much like the people we know—and are—in real life.

Randy Susan Meyers is the author of The Comfort of Lies and The Murderer’s Daughters and a finalist for the Massachusetts Book Award. Her writing is informed by her work with batterers and victims of domestic violence, as well her experience with youth impacted by street violence. She lives with her husband in Boston, where she teaches writing seminars at the Grub Street Writers’ Center.
