School Board Elect Christine Maleck 'Thrilled' that Levy Passed

In a statement to Patch, she also thanked outgoing board members for their service.

Christine Maleck was one of three new Richfield School Board members to be elected Tuesday night.

After getting the news, he gave the following statement to Richfield Patch:

"I am thrilled that both Levy questions were passed. I have really enjoyed working with and would love to thank all of the members of the Richfield Citizens for a Quality Community and Dr. Bob Slotterback for their hard work and dedication in educating the community about the technology levy. A huge thank you goes out to the Richfield community for their decisive support of Richfield Public Schools. The character and small town values of our community never cease to amaze me.

"I am excited for the opportunity to continue to serve our community and schools, and I look forward to working with Tim Pollis, Pete Toensing, and the rest of the board. We have a busy year ahead of us starting with the search for a new superintendent. 

"I would also like to thank David Lamberger, John Easterwood, and Sandy Belkengren for their years of dedication and hard work on the board."

Incumbents Sandy Belkengren, David Lamberger and John Easterwood were all unseated Tuesday. Tim Pollis and Peter Toensing will join Maleck as board members beginning in January 2014.
