Richfield gymnasts finished their high school careers Saturday at the Class AA individual gymnastics championship. Metz placed 29th overall and Tseng made the state competition for vault after placing 31st.

Chandler Arredondo and Mike Dyer both qualified for the Class AAA State Wrestling Tournament, to be held March 4-5 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

The Holy Angels boys basketball team earned its first conference-win of the season after defeating Northfield, but lost to Chaska later in the week. Its final regular season game is March 1.

The Holy Angels girls basketball team lost a close 49-48 game to Northfield and another to Chaska. The girls will take on Richfield on March 3 in the Section 6AAA playoffs.

The Richfield boys basketball team won its matchup against South St. Paul, St. Paul Johnson and Henry Sibley. Its March 1 game against Hill Murray will round out the regular season for the team.

The Richfield girls basketball team won its games against South St. Paul, Holy Family Catholic and Henry Sibley. The team also from the Richfield Rotary and Richfield Optimist Club Feb. 18.

The Richfield boys hockey team’s as it was knocked out of the Section 2A playoffs by the Chaska Hawks.

The Holy Angels boys hockey team was also knocked of the payoffs after loosing a close game to Prior Lake.
