Richfield Nonprofit Hopes for 'Give to the Max Day' Donations

The annual "Great Minnesota Give Together" raises money for Minnesota nonprofits. Richfield's Blessed Trinity Catholic School is one of the organizations donors can support.

Richfield's (BTCS) is one of the hundreds of nonprofits registered to receive donations on Nov. 16 through GiveMN's Give to the Max Day.

The special day aims to raise as much money as possible in a 24-hour period for Minnesota nonprofits. The giving begins at midnight Nov. 16 and ends at midnight Nov. 17.

"We are really excited about [Give to the Max Day]," Melissa Cavanaugh, communications specialist for Blessed Trinity, told Patch.

The 2010 event saw more than 42,000 people donate, raising more than $10 million for nonprofits throughout Minnesota.

As part of the donation day, donors to BTCS will also be able to see their donations matched by designating their donation to the “Guardian Angel Match for Tuition Assistance" program. In addition, if donors choose the “Jo Culnane Catholic Studies Fund” they will be helping to buy a new set of Bibles for middle school students.
