Richfield, Hennepin County in Severe Thunderstorm Watch Until 6 a.m. Wednesday
The rain is coming.
Richfield along with much of the state is in a severe thunderstorm watch until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) website, strong to severe thunderstorms are likely to develop in the Dakotas overnight and move east to western and central Minnesota. The NWS goes further to say the potentially severe storms could also cause damaging winds, heavy rainfall and large hail.
South-central Minnesota is also at risk for having thunderstorms continue into the day Wednesday. Currently, the NWS is predicting an 80 percent chance of heavy rain throughout Wednesday morning in Richfield.
