Richfield Frontage Road, Stretch of I-494 to Close Friday
One of the busiest stretches of road scheduled to close this weekend.
As part of the Nicollet Avenue bridge rehabilitation project, both directions of I-494 between Cedar Avenue/Hwy. 77 and I-35W will close at 10 p.m. Friday night for painting, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
In addition, the frontage roads between Lyndale and Portland Avenues, in both Richfield and Bloomington, will also close at 10 p.m. Friday.
The interstate is scheduled to reopen at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, while the frontage roads will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. MnDOT said motorists should follow posted detour signs.
