2) Marvelous Maples in Richfield
Where / When: Wood Lake Nature Center from 12:30-2 p.m. March 12 and from 1-2:30 p.m. or 3-4:30 p.m. March 13.
Why Go: Discover the cultural and natural history aspects of tapping maple trees as part of the glorious "syrup-ing" process.
Price: $3 per person, Free for Friends of Wood Lake (FOWL) members. Call 612-861-9365 to reserve a spot.
3) Teen Job Assistance in Edina, MN
Where / When: Southdale Library from 2-3 p.m. March 12.
Why Go: Teens in eighth grade and up can learn the basics of job searching, filling out applications and interviewing skills.
Price: Free but you must register ahead of time by calling 952-847-5914.
4) Used Book Sale in Richfield
Where / When: Augsburg Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 12.
Why Go: Hundreds of books priced at $1 or less are waiting to be taken in by individuals of all ages and interests.
Price: Depends on how many gems you happen to stumble upon.
5) Teen Drop-In in Hopkins, MN
Where / When: Lutheran Community of Grace every Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
Why Go: Teens can hang out, play games and receive homework help in a safe and positive environment.
Price: Free
