Grab & Go Kids Planner: Cabin Fever

Patch's Grab & Go Kids Planner highlights weekend kid activities.

Are you experiencing a little cabin fever from this long winter? Well, the weather is looking up and there is no shortage of things to do with the kids this weekend. Patch's Grab & Go Kids Planner highlights five of this week's local opportunities for some fun:

2) Brodini Comedy & Magic Act in Edina, MN

Where / When: Edinborough Park on Thursday, Mar. 17 at Noon

Why Go: Start your St. Patrick’s Day celebration out with a little "Concert in the Park" action. Houdini was not a documented leprechaun but the jury for Brodini is still out.

3) March Math Madeness in Southwest Minneapolis

Where / When: Creative Kidstuff on Saturday, Mar. 19 from 1-3 p.m.

Why Go: Lots of number fun to be had.

4) Paws to Read in Edina, MN

Where / When: Southdale Library at 10:30 a.m. March 19.

Why Go: Kids in kindergarten through fourth grade can practice reading aloud, and forget the woes of doing so, in the company of professionally trained animals.

5) Preschool Storytime in Southwest Minneapolis

Where / When: Linden Hills Community Library Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

Why Go: Help prepare your preschoolers, ages 4-6,  for the challenge of learning to read.
