The holiday weekend offers a ton of things to do around town.
Now that the Fourth of July holiday weekend has arrived, for those of you not heading out of town, there are a ton of things to do around town.

Why Go: Since 1980 Richfield has been hosting this free community event. For five days anyone who wishes to take part in the festivities can do so. From a kidie carnival to fireworks, there is something for everyone to enjoy. For the full schedule of events, click .

2) The Minneapolis Pops Orchestra
When: July 2 at 7:30 p.m. and July 3 at 5:30 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Live music in the park featuring a full symphonic ensemble.
Price: Free

When: July 2 at 9 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: As part of Richfield's hometown celebration, "Despicable Me" will be shown up on the big screen while you relax in the grass.
Price: Free

When: July 1 from 8-11 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Live performances from The Dead Presidents, TAO, and Alex Stone.
Price: $5

When: July 4 from 8 a.m. to noon
Where: The Historic Wayzata Depot (402 Lake Street E., Wayzata)
Why Go: Catch your breakfast while it’s hot, hear tales from revolutionary actors and see muskets being fired.
Price: $6 includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, cold drink and a flag. Veterans eat for free.
