Why Go: It’s okay to show your face here, unless you are just looking for a place to wear camo. Naturalists will interactively discuss animals’ usage of camouflage in nature.

2) Cinema Circle: Tar Creek in Southwest Minneapolis
Where / When: Lake Harriet Spiritual Community from 7-9 p.m. March 4.
Why Go: The film Tar Creek reveals the greatly unknown environmental disaster in the world’s once largest lead and and zinc mines.
Price: $10/person
3) Minneapolis Home & Garden Show in Downtown Minneapolis
Where / When: Minneapolis Convention Center on March 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., March 5 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and March 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Why Go: One more chance to get fresh home improvement ideas before spring. And if that doesn’t excite you, perhaps the celebrity experts will.
Price: Adult $13 and $10 if purchased online; child ages 6-12 years, $4; child 5 years and under, free.
4) Socrates Cafe in Minnetonka, MN
Where / When: Ridgedale Library on Thursdays from 7-9 p.m.
Why Go: Don’t miss your chance to debate the great philosopher ... or at least have a relaxed philosophical conversation with peers.

5) Two Deep in St. Louis Park, MN
Where / When: Bean Good Cafe from 7-9 p.m. on March 5.
Why Go: Live music will definitely help lower snow levels to approximately two feet deep.
