Richfield's newest fried chicken eatery will open sometime this spring.

Popeyes Louisianna Kitchen will replace the former Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant at the Hub Shopping Center. An exact date has not been released.

"Our records indicate the restaurant is proposed to open in the spring, pending and construction delays, etc.," the company said in an e-mail to Patch. "Hopefully we are able to accommodate that timeline without any hitches."

Construction crews are currently working to transform the former KFC into a Popeyes style restaurant.

Richfield Patch will update readers as more information becomes available.

Is this one going to take credit/debit cards? The one on Lake St. only takes cash.
