Firehouse Subs to Open at Lyndale Station

The sub chain plans to open at the end of October in Richfield.

Finally, a new tenant has been nailed down for one of the vacant spaces at Lyndale Station.

Firehouse Subs plans to open a restaurant at 6535 Lyndale Ave. S. at Lyndale Station by the end of October, Carly Kirkland, a spokesperson for the company, told Richfield Patch in an e-mail.

The Richfield location will be a franchise location, and one of more than 600 total locations in 35 states and Puerto Rico. The menu features both hot and cold sandwiches, and salads. Patrons will be able to place their orders online and pick them up at the restaurant.

According to the company's website, the chain was started 18 years ago by Chris and Robin Sorensen.

There are currently two other Firehouse Subs locations in Minnesota in St. Cloud and Maplewood. Another will open soon in Plymouth. For more information on the sub chain, go to firehousesubs.com.

Patch also reached out to the Lyndale Station property manager, Todd Kaufman, for comment, however, a response has not been received by the time of this article.
