Best Buy Donates $25K to Tornado Relief Efforts

Employees pitch in to lend a helping hand.

On behalf of its 180,000 employees worldwide, Richfield-based Best Buy has made a $25,000 donation to support the response efforts to the recent outbreak of storms throughout the South and Midwest. The $25,000 contribution was made to American Red Cross Disaster Relief to help advance overall efforts in response, relief and recovery in affected communities in Southern U.S. into the Ohio Valley region.

"We are saddened by the destruction brought about by the recent storms," said Susan Bass Roberts, director of community relations for Best Buy. "The thoughts and prayers of Best Buy employees across the nation are with the affected residents. We greatly appreciate the expertise of the American Red Cross and the efforts they make to ensure the safety and recovery of those impacted and in rebuilding these communities."
