Our Lady of Mount Carmel Mass & Celebration

On Tuesday, July 16th, St. Peter’s Church and Father Jerry Dvorak will celebrate a special Mass at 7:00pm, with reception to follow.  This feast day was instituted in the fourteenth century and commemorates the anniversary of the day in 1251 when the Blessed Mother gave the Brown Scapular to Saint Simon Stock.  The scapular is an external sign of filial relationship established between the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother and Queen of Mt. Carmel, and the faithful, who entrust themselves and who have recourse to her maternal intercession, and who are mindful of the primacy of spiritual life and the need for prayer.  An exhibit of Carmelite Spirituality will be showcased in the south annex of St. Peter’s Church.  Please call 612-866-5089 for more information.  St. Peter’s is located at 6730 Nicollet Avenue South in Richfield.
