Tears of a Warrior: Human Rights Commission Book Club Event

This will be the first installment of what the Richfield Human Rights commission is hoping to be a regular book club gathering, though the material will differ with each installment.

The group will discuss “Tears of a Warrior” co-authored by a Vietnam-era veteran of the army and his wife. It details both their stories and gives practical advice about dealing with PTSD.

The commission will facilitate a dialogue within the community about the challenges of living with PTSD, either as a veteran or family member of a veteran suffering from PTSD.

We will also discuss Veterans' outreach and  the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon campaign. The campaign serves to help returning combat veterans readjust to civilian life, as well as serve as a support system to families of veterans.
