Peterson Family "Minnesota's First Family of Music" benefit concert for the Edina Historical Society

Tickets are now available for the Peterson Family benefit concert for the Edina Historical Society.

 

Known as "Minnesota's first family of music," three generations of Petersons are led by matriarch Jeanne Arland Peterson, who has been named to both the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame and the Broadcasting Museum Hall of Fame. Several of her children and grandchildren live in Edina, including Paul Peterson, who was discovered by the legendary artist Prince at age 17, and Patty Peterson, who has seven Minnesota Music Awards to her credit. Other siblings include Billy Peterson, who has toured with the Steve Miller Band for 23 years, and acclaimed jazz vocalist Linda Peterson, who performs throughout the country and abroad. The Petersons grew up in Richfield.

 

The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 14, at the Edina Performing Arts Center, Edina High School, 6754 Valley View Road.

The fundraiser will support the Edina Historical Society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization formed in 1969 to collect, preserve and tell the history of Edina, Minnesota. The Society operates the Edina History Museum, 4711 West 70th Street, as well as living history programs at two of Edina’s oldest buildings, Cahill School and Minnehaha Grange Hall No. 398 at Tupa Park.
