Weekend Planner: Twin Cities Film Festival

Five things to do this weekend.

1)

When: Friday, Sept. 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 24 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

When: Saturday, Sept. 24 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: 9000 Portland Avenue S, Bloomington

Why Go: Blair’s Tree of Hope, a Hopkins based non-profit, is hosting an event to honor those who are fighting or have already lost the fight with cancer. Throughout the day there will be kickball, family friendly lawn games and the opportunity to see if you’d be a match to donate bone marrow.

Price: Free admission

3)

When: Saturday, Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: East 38th Street and Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis

Why Go: Celebrate the community on 38th Street with music, dance, food, fun and more neighborly fun. Look for Southwest Minneapolis Patch giving out goodies and taking portraits at the event.

Price: Free

4)

When:  Sunday, Sept. 25 from 5-8 p.m.

Where: 

Why Go: Enjoy live local music by Voices for Peace, a complimentary buffet and what has been said to be the “best Silent Auction in town.”

Price: Suggested donation of $10 to $30; no one will be turned away.
