SOLD! Home Sales in Richfield Beat Last Year's Figures

The number of closings for the first 5 months of 2011 beat 2010 numbers.

The increase in the number of Richfield closings reflect a energetic Richfield housing market. One surprising statistic is that more homes closed in Richfield between the first of the year and mid-May of 2011 than during the same time period in 2010 when the first time buyer’s tax incentive was encouraging sales of mid and lower priced homes.

In 2010, 131 homes closed and in 2011, 138 homes closed, including seven homes last week. While this is not a big increase, it’s not the decrease seen in some markets. These numbers generally reflect contracts that were signed from 30 to 60 days previous to close. In addition, this summer—at least until mid-July—should encourage more buyers to buy Richfield.
