Richfield Rotary Gears Up for 18th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting Fundraiser

All proceeds will benefit the organization's efforts to support children in the community.

Wine, beer and chocolate lovers will mix, mingle, and indulge at the Richfield Rotary's 18th Annual Wine and Chocolate Tasting, one of the Twin Cities’ largest wine tasting events, Oct. 21, 2011 at Minnesota Valley Country Club, 6300 Auto Club Rd., in Bloomington.

The "Taste of Autumn" event features more than 100 bottles of wine and more than 11 wine and beer vendors. In addition, this year’s event features a section of wines and beers made locally in Minnesota. There will also be a silent auction, raffle, and hors d’oeuvres. The reigning Miss Minnesota, Natalie Davis, will be entertaining, and the will assist with the evening’s “Wall of Wine” raffle.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Richfield Rotary Foundation, which funds child-focused projects promoting health, literacy, safety, mentoring, and international projects, as well as scholarships to area high school students and grants to area nonprofits.

“We are thrilled to be hosting this event for an unprecedented 18th year,” said Steven Larson, president of Richfield Rotary. “The Richfield community needs our support now more than ever, and through this event we can make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children and families.”
