Richfield Volunteers Prepare for 'Walk to End Hunger'

Richfield High School teachers and volunteers are raising money for the walk.

This year, Richfield L.E.G.O. is participating in the annual Walk to End Hunger on Thanksgiving Day.

L.E.G.O stands for Local Education Global Outreach, and they do many volunteer projects based on the U.N.'s Millenium goals of poverty, education, health, the environment, and gender equality.

The Walk to End Hunger is at the Mall of America on Thanksgiving morning. The money raised will go to various hunger relief organizations including V.E.A.P, the Salvation Army, and Loaves and Fishes.

L.E.G.O. is looking for volunteers that are interested in walking or donating. If you are interested in participating, please go to walktoendhunger.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1032577

If you would like to walk, press "Register" on the left-hand side of the screen. L.E.G.O. already has a team, so press "Join a Team" and "Richfield L.E.G.O." From there, you can create your own account. If you are unable to walk, but would still like to donate, please press "Donate to a Walker." From there, you can donate to an individual.
