Cub Scouts Compete In Annual Pinewood Derby Race
Seventy-five cars compete in this year's Pack 384 event at Woodlake Lutheran Church on Tuesday night.
Race enthusiasts both young and old were on hand at on Tuesday night for the annual running of the .
Seventy-five cars of a number of shapes, colors and forms competed over four rounds in this year's field, with the top five children in each of the "Wolves, Bear, Webelos" and "Lions and Tigers" classifications qualifying for the district derby.
Connor Hinz snagged the top spot in the 15th heat of the first round with a time of 3.1270 seconds and a scale speed of 158.1 mph. The time remained unbested for the remainder of the night to earn Hintz the overall Pack champion honor.

Joining Hinz as "Wolves, Bear, Webelos" district qualifiers were: Antonio diGrazia, Ben Bury, Caden Gilbert and Colton Gjerness. "Lions and Tigers" district qualifiers were: Brennan Gilbert, Camden Rhodes, Zeke Belsha, Jaedon Soli and Logan Bell.
The district race is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Anthony Village.
