Pet of the Week: Cuddle Up With Buck

Buck is one of many dogs and cats that need new homes through Pet Haven of Minnesota.

Editor's note: This is a new weekly series called "Pet of the Week" where we feature a companion up for adoption from Pet Haven of Minnesota.

Every two weeks, partners with Pet Haven of Minnesota for adoption events for dogs and cats that need new homes.

Of course, humans surrender their companion animals for all sorts of reasons. “He’s untrainable,” or “She has more energy than I thought she would,” are common phrases heard, according to Pet Haven of Minnesota.

However, every once in a while an animal is surrendered for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with them. This is the case for 10-year-old Buck, pictured above. His owners were no longer able to care for him.

According to Pet Haven of Minnesota, Buck may be 10, but he doesn't act like it. He seems to think cars were invented for his riding pleasure and he loves going on his daily walk. When not out on the town, Buck loves nothing more than to cuddle up with the humans of the household. He has lived with kids, cats, and other dogs and does wonderful with all of them; all he requires from his new home is a “forever” status in the family; not a “for now” one.
