Nature Center's FOWL Looking For More Board Members

The volunteer organization helps keep Wood Lake Nature Center up to date.

In existence since 1991, the Friends of Wood Lake (FOWL) Board has been key to keeping 's facilities and programs up to date and innovative.

The board now has member vacancies its looking to fill. Key responsibilities include:

  • Attending monthly meetings on the third Thursday of the month;
  • Assist, plan and participate in two annual fundraisers (the fundraising dinner on the last Friday in April 2 and the Birds and Birdie September Golf Tournament);
  • Assist and help at the other big events such as the late winter membership frive, Half Haunted Halloween on MEA weekend, and .

A great way to be involved with nature conservation, education, parks, schools, scouts, special events and a great group of people.
