Get Out and Celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

With so many things to celebrate this week, you may be looking for ways to do so. This week's Get Out features five activities to do with the family to celebrate the Mexican defeat of French forces and all mom's kindnesses over the years.

Why Go: The City of Richfield invites you to a family-friendly Cinco de Mayo celebration with entertainment, games and snacks.

When: Noon-4 p.m. May 8.

Where: Southdale Library

Why Go: Kids will have a great time creating an ink print and watching ArtOrg’s steamroller complete the process.

Price: Free

When: Open daily during library hours through the end of May.

Why Go: Appreciate the fascinating stories and success of your fellow community members who are Vietnam refugees or immigrants.

Price: Free

4)

When: 7 p.m. May 6. Sign-in and social hour is at 6:30 p.m.

Why Go: Watch a Stars Wars classic dressed as your favorite character.

When: 2-8 p.m. May 7.

Where:

Why Go: This Mother’s Day art show also features delicious food, poetry, song and spoken work.
