First Snowfall Could Bring More Than Two Inches to Richfield

The first snowfall of the year could bring up to two or more inches of snow.

The first snowfall of the year began coming down late morning Saturday and by the end of the day Richfield could see up to two and a half inches on the ground, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) website.

NWS is predicting one to two inches of snow accumulation during the day Saturday, with another half inch possible in the evening. There are also powerful wind gusts up to 25 mph possible. The high temperature will hover around 35 degrees.

There is also a 50 percent change of snow Sunday, with less than a half inch possible.

As a reminder, crews begin . Vehicles left on the street can be ticketed or towed anytime. Richfield Public Works advises that people make arrangements with neighbors, landlords or friends to get vehicles off the street.
