Earth Friendly Tip 4: Plant Native Trees

Karen Shragg shares another environmentally friendly tip.

Editor's Note: April 22 is Earth Day, as it has been for over 40 years. But why limit it to just one day? Join us here on Nature Notes for the next 10 days for a new environmentally-friendly tip from Karen Shragg, naturalist and director of Wood Lake Nature Center.

Plant native trees and plants in your yard, courtyards and neighborhoods and help rid parks and yards of European and Glossy Buckthorn. Call Wood Lake to help you with your plant choices.

If you want to help rid the park of buckthorn you can come to the program from 1-4 p.m. April 17.
