Volunteer Opportunity to Help Local Seniors!

Each spring, Senior Community Services' Household and Outside Maintenance for the Elderly (HOME) program receives a growing number of requests for help with leaf raking, window washing, yard work, gardening, and garage sweeping.  We rely completely on the generosity of volunteers to fulfill these requests. 

Below is more information on this great opportunity that is flexible with your schedule and great for individuals as well as groups.

Who can volunteer?  Groups of any size.  We have opportunities for both adults and children able to help with yard work.

What will I do?  Yard clean-up at a senior’s home including: yard work, leaf raking, window washing, gardening, garage sweeping.

When can I volunteer?  Give us a call now to schedule a 2-hour time slot in May.

Where will I volunteer?  At a senior’s house (60+) living in any of the following communities: Bloomington, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Eden Prairie, Edina, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, New Hope, Plymouth, Richfield, Robbinsdale, St. Louis Park, or Wayzata.

Why should I volunteer?  It’s fun!  By volunteering, you will help an older adult so that they can remain living independently in their home.
