VIDEO: Mayor Gets Down with Blue Cross 'Do Groove Guy'

The do.town website launched Tuesday.

No doubt many residents have seen posters, fliers, and representatives of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota's do.town initiative throughout the city since last fall.

Now, residents can connect with the project online at do-town.org, which just launched Tuesday morning. The site offers information on local events, resources for healthy living and more.

The project is a collaboration between Blue Cross and the cities of Richfield, Edina and Bloomington, that aims to establish sustainable changes in systems and environments that support healthy living throughout the community.

Project represenatives recently made an appearance at the and are also giving their support for local initiatives such as the 's plans to create more bikeways throughout the city.

The project kicked off last fall and Mayor Debbie Goettel, as well as some local law enforcement, made an appearance with Blue Cross and Blue Shield's "Do Groove Guy." Watch Goettel's video in the window above.
