Richfield Reds American Legion baseball team members Tyler Jegtvig, Corey Fitzgerald, Tyler Klopp and Jordan Zoellmer were all recently selected as part of the All-District team.

The all-district awards were presented following the district championship game in July 2011. This year's selection was the second time for Jegtvig and Fitzgerald, who were also selected in 2010.

In addition, Reds player Andre Hill was also recognized for good sportsmanship and given the Frank Fust Award.

The Richfield Reds finished its regular season with a 10-2 record and as the champions of District 5. The Reds also won the sub-district playoff to advance to the district championship against the Southwest Minneapolis Lakers. Unfortunately, the Reds came up just short of advancing to the state playoffs by a score of 3-2 in the final, best-of-three game series. Ironically, every contest between the Reds and the Lakers was decided by just one run during the season.
