Richfield Readers' Choice: Best Place to Watch March Madness

Where do local basketball fans go to catch a few games?

While most of Richfield's local bar and restaurants were up for the honor of Readers' Choice: Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day last week, only one establishment could take the title.

Sorry.

However, this week's Readers' Choice allows those establishments another crack at a victory. Cast your vote in the poll below for the Best Place to Watch March Madness and tell us why in the comments section. If you don't see your favorite spot, let us know:

Frenchman's

Sandy's Tavern

Houlihan's

Champp's

To review the business, click on the name highlighted above in blue.

Voting ends at 9 p.m. Thursday, March 29. Your Richfield Patch editor will determine the Richfield Readers' Choice winner based on a combination of poll results and the number and enthusiasm of reader reviews on Patch Places. We’ll announce the winner around noon Friday, March 30. Official rules are attached as a PDF.

Sorry... Frenchman's or Sandy's would get my vote for just about any other contest featuring these four.
However, for March Madness, you need lots of big, vibrant big-screen TVs. for that reason alone, Champp's easily wins -- sad to say.
Frenchman's one "big screen" is so old and broken down that it is like trying to watch a game played underwater through a London Fog.

Some may like the feeling of watching TV underwater?

I have to agree with Tom...if you want to be able to watch 4 different games from your seat Champps has it. Say what you will about corporate restaurants, but they do have the more TV's tuned to college basketball this time of year than any of the other 3 do.

What do some of the Houlihan's voters have to say? Why is Houlihans better for watching NCAA basketball games in March?

Did Sandy's ever get Summit back on tap? I haven't been back since they pulled it. Somebody tell me they did so I can go get the best burger in town and wash it down with a GREAT Minnesota made beer! Sorry Sandy's, but it's just not the same when you wash it down with fizzy yellow macro-brewed swill.

Yep. The Houlihan's fans are getting out here. I'd like to know people's reasonings too!
