Richfield Patch Game of the Week: RHS Volleyball

The Spartans volleyball team hopes to get off to a fast start against South St. Paul, which it has defeated six straight times.

The Spartans hope to start the season with an early season win over the Pacers, who are 0-28 in conference play the past two seasons.

Players to Watch

Jessica January—(Richfield middle hitter)

  • January, who is one of the state’s top athletes, was named All-CSC last season as a sophomore.

Anna Erickson—(South St. Paul libero)

  • Erickson was named an All-Conference honorable mention selection last season.

The Spartans will win if ...

They can get continued development from their top four returning players who were named All-CSC or honorable mention. 

The Polars will win if ...

They can make strides under third-year head coach Jane Cornell.
