(UPDATE) Winter Weather Advisory: 3 to 6 Inches of Snow Coming
The National Weather Service is predicting up to 6 inches of snow to fall between Thursday and Friday.

The National Weather Service has replaced the winter storm watch in effect for Hennepin County to a winter weather advisory.
However, 3 to 6 inches are still possible for Richfield and much of the metro area from Thursday into Friday.
Patch will update readers as more information becomes available.
According to the NWS, 3 to 6 inches of snow is possible between Thursday and Friday. High temperatures expected for Thursday and Friday are 20 and 26, respectively. Low temperatures are 17 and 11, respectively.

THE NEXT POTENTIAL WEATHER HAZARD IS SNOWFALL THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS EXCEEDING 6 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM ST. JAMES...TO MANKATO...TO RED WING AND EAU CLAIRE. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN OVER SOUTHERN MINNESOTA THURSDAY EVENING...AND SPREAD NORTH AND EAST TO REACH CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN THURSDAY NIGHT. SNOW IS THEN EXPECTED TO SLOWLY TAPER OFF THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY FRIDAY. THE GREATEST SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS APPEAR MOST LIKELY ALONG INTERSTATE 90 IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA.
