Editor's note: This is a new weekly series called "Pet of the Week" where we feature a companion up for adoption from Pet Haven of Minnesota.
This week's Patch Pet of the Week features Buddy:
Buddy is a 1-year-old Rat Terrier who absolutely loves other dogs. Buddy has had an amazing journey to get him where he is today. Originally he came from an abusive household. Because of that, Buddy is cautious about new situations and people but give him a bit and he warms up.
He has made tremendous progress from when he was first brought to Pet Haven. He loves running and playing outside with his foster brother who is an adult Doberman/Labrador mix.
Buddy is crate and potty trained. He is able to be left alone in the basement with his big brother when his foster dad is at work. Buddy’s ideal family would understand his cautiousness in new situations because he has been hurt in the past.
Also, he is not mean to children but because of his energy level, a house with older children would be best. And, of course, a canine playmate is on his
wish list as well.
