Penn Fest 2012: Runners Raise Money For New S.T.E.M. School Playground
The 5K and Kids Fun Run began at Donaldson Park.
The switch from Richfield Intermediate School to Richfield S.T.E.M. School has spurred the need for a new playground fit for kids in kindergarten through fifth-grade.
In order to raise money to replace the existing play feature at the school, dozens participated in a 5K and Kids Fun Run Sunday morning as the Open Streets at Penn Fest got underway.
The race began at Donaldson Park, traveled through Penn Avenue and ended at the starting point.
