The Richfield Symphonic Band performed at Augsburg Park Thursday evening under the lead of Conductor Paul Maybery as the first performance in Richfield's *Concerts in the Park series.

The concert opened with Herbert's "The President's March" and played selections of various styles  including fox trot, waltz, classical, patriotic selections including "The Stars and Stripes Forever" by John Philip Sousa, and even a solo with Dennis Opland playing the euphonium. 

The audience enjoyed the show from lawn chairs, blankets, or just a nice spot on the grass. The atmosphere was relaxed and there was plenty of room to stretch out and get comfortable. 

The Concerts in the Park series is sponsored by *Richfield-Bloomington Credit Union and will feature performances at 7 p.m. every Thursday night at Augsburg Park until Aug. 11.
