Marijuana, Stolen Booze & Motel 6 Incidents: Police Blotter

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department's crime reports from March 4, 2013, detailing incidents from Feb. 28 and March 1-2.

Feb. 28

• A 28-year-old Minneapolis woman was arrested for possession of a counterfeit bill.
• A snowblower was reported stolen from an unattached shed at a building on the 7600 block of Girard Avenue.
• A 47-year-old Richfield man was arrested for third-degree DUI.
• Shoes were reported stolen from a business on the 6500 block of Richfield Parkway.
• A victim reported receiving harassing phone calls from a former landlord over unpaid rent. The victim was advised this was a civil matter at this time.
• Police responded to a protection order violation on the 900 block of 77th Street East.

March 1

• A female victim reported being assaulted by her husband. The suspect was not located.
• A juvenile female was found in possession of marijuana on school grounds in the Central School building.
• A victim reported either loosing her credit card or it being stolen after it was used fraudulently at a Richfield business.
• Officers responded to a report of a counterfeit $20 bill.
• Super America, 2913 66th St. W., reported a gas theft of $32.15.
• An adult male was cited for shoplifting a bottle of alcohol valued at $62.
• Officers responded to a property damage report on the 7200 block of Cedar Avenue. There was under $500 in damage done to a door.
• Police responded to a disturbance on the 7700 block of Lyndale Avenue. An adult male was issued a citation for giving a false name to an officer.

March 2

• A 28-year-old Minneapolis woman was arrested for fourth-degree DUI and also cited for driving after license suspension, open bottle, marijuana possession in a vehicle and driving without insurance.
• A 27-year-old Minneapolis woman was cited for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession at Motel 6.
• Police responded to a theft from vehicle report on the 6900 block of Cedar Avenue. More than $1,000 in damage was done to the vehicle and $700 in items were taken. The victim suspects his ex-girlfriend.
• Police responded to a theft from vehicle incident on the 7500 block of Emerson Avenue. The estimated loss is $250.
• Police responded to a disturbance at Motel 6. Parties fled and were later located. one was found to be consuming alcohol under the age of 21 and issued a citation.
• A 26-year-old Minneapolis woman was arrested for third-degree DWI.
