Members of the Academy of Holy Angels tennis team and the school’s food service vendor, Taher, Inc., are teaming up to sponsor a pancake breakfast to raise funds for Richfield's Honoring All Veterans Memorial.
The breakfast will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11 at Holy Angels.
The event has been dubbed "Net Gain—Serving It Up For Those Who Serve."
“The men and women who fought to protect us and preserve the notion that mankind was meant to be free are much on our minds as Veterans Day approaches,” Steve Werle, Holy Angels social studies teacher and tennis coach, said in a release. “And our tennis team members and their families have chosen this project to honor them and to raise some funds for a lasting memorial.”
The Honoring All Veterans Memorial is currently under construction at Veterans Memorial Park.
The cost of the breakfast is $6 for adults and $3 for children under the age of 10. For more information about the breakfast and the veterans memorial project, contact Werle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
